You can connect as many Facebook Pages to your Smartly ad accounts as you want. However, only the user who has authorized the ad account to Smartly can connect or disconnect Facebook pages (and applications) to the ad account. You can check who this user is in Account Settings > Facebook Settings.
Applications must be linked to a Facebook Page. This is done when creating creatives for the campaign.
Connect or disconnect Facebook Pages to your ad account
- In the top navigation bar, click Accounts.
- On the ad account list, click the account name. The Campaigns view opens.
- In the toolbar on the Facebook tab, click ··· > Account Settings.
- On the left-hand sidebar, click Pages & Applications.
As account authorizer, you can see all pages that are connected to your Facebook user in Business Manager. Only pages for which you have permission to Create Ads are visible. Read more on Facebook pages permission here.
Toggle on the page that you want to connect to your Smartly Ad account. Keep the toggle off for the pages you do not want to connect.
Other users in the ad account will only see the connected pages, they cannot see pages that you have not connected, and they cannot connect or disconnect any new page.
In the screenshot example above, other users would only see the 2 pages connected, and not see the third one disconnected. This ensures that only intended pages associated to your users are visible to other users.
Note If the account authorizer is changed to a new user, any previously connected pages will be kept connected if also the new user has access to those pages.
Advertise with local pages
In addition to country-specific pages, there can be also location/address specific pages in Facebook, for example, Smartly Helsinki, Singapore, San Francisco and Berlin. You can also advertise using those pages.
Essentially it works the same way as the country-specific pages. If you’re the admin you can connect them to the ad account and run the ads under the locations pages (addresses, countries).
