It is possible to create Collection Ads from Instant Experiences (previously known as Canvases) instead of from your catalog. No product catalog or product set is required. This will produce a single static Collection Ad that will show the same content to all users.
Use Collection Ads to drive attention to the ad with 4 special image thumbnails below the ad unit (or 3 in Instagram feed placement; or 2 in Instagram Stories placement), and allow the user to open a full-screen experience that loads instantly.
ℹ️ Note: this article is specific to Collection Ads from Instant Experiences. Creating regular Instant Experience ads is easier and does not have as many limitations and requirements.
