What is Messenger placement
When you select Messenger as the placement for your ad, the ad can be served on the home screen of the messenger app.
How to use Messenger placement
In order to use the Messenger placement the campaign objective has to be one of the following:
- Link Clicks
- Conversions
- App Installs
- Product Sales
The Messenger placement is available for these creative formats:
- link ads
- carousel ads
Also, note that you must select Facebook News Feed placement in conjunction with Messenger. As such, we advise you to check Facebook's Ads Guide for creative technical specifications (i.e. check Facebook Links or Facebook Carousel for the relevant objective).
