What is Audience Network placement
With the Audience Network placement, your ads will be served on other developers' apps, outside of Facebook's native platform. This provides a way to extend your campaign's reach, while still being able to benefit from Facebook's powerful targeting options. Audience network has three different placements, the classic audience network placements (native, banner and interstitial), In-stream Videos and Rewarded Videos. The availability of these placements depends on the creative, campaign objective and chosen devices in the targeting.
Native, banner, interstitial
Audience Network uses three different layouts for ads, depending on the context of the app the ad gets served on banner, interstitial and native.
In-Stream Videos
In-Stream Video advertisement is a mid-roll video advertisement shown to people watching video on the audience network. Only video ads can be shown on this placement.
In-stream videos are only available for campaigns with following objectives:
- Conversions
- Brand Awareness
- Post Engagement
- Reach
- Video View
Rewarded Videos
Rewarded video ads are shown to audience network users who opt-in to watch the video and in exchange for something of value e.g. in-app items or exclusive content. Only video ads can be shown on this placement.
Rewarded Videos are only available for campaigns with following objectives:
- Conversions
- App Installs
Restrictions
The Audience Network placement is available for these creative formats:
- link ads
- mobile app image ads
- mobile app video ads
- carousel link and app ads
- dynamic product ads
Also note, that you must select mobile news feed targeting in conjunction with Audience Network.
Exclude Audience Network categories
You can exclude different app categories where you do not want to show your ads. For example, if you select Audience Network targeting and exclude "Debated Social Issues", then your ads will not show up in apps that are categorized as concerning debated social issues.
When you have selected Audience Network placement click Exclude Categories for Audience Network and select the categories where you do not want to show your ads.
Is it possible to know where in Audience Network my ads appeared?
Sure thing! You can find this information in Ads Manager by following the steps described in this article. Please note that impressions are the only metric that is available in the report so, unfortunately, it is not possible to see the performance of your ads on different domains.
