How to check if your Ad Account is using the right pixel?
The Default Facebook pixel is the one that is selected as Use by default. Pixels selected as track by default will gather conversions for all of the Campaigns on the account.
- Check from the pixel name and id that the default facebook pixel is the one active on your website. Tip: If the pixel's Last firing time says "never," you most likely have the wrong pixel chosen.
- If a wrong pixel is chosen with the *Use by default* setting, change to the right one and press Save Facebook pixel changes. Now you can optimize your Campaigns for this Facebook pixel.
Note: The changes do not automatically take effect on your existing Campaigns once the pixel settings have been changed. The changes take place in the Campaign when the Campaign is edited, or new ads are created. You can also recalculate tracking for a Campaign when you open the Campaign in Edit mode and select Recalculate all tracking specs in this Campaign under Tracking.
Optimizing for a Facebook pixel
You can only optimize for one pixel at a time. This is a limitation by Facebook. By default, Smartly.io promotes the pixel that has been set up as the default pixel. The promoted pixel can be selected if there are multiple Facebook pixels connected with the Ad Account:

If your Campaign is using a wrong pixel for optimization, Facebook might think there are zero conversions, and stop delivery. Here's how to check which pixel is used for optimization.

When creating a new Campaign
- When the Optimization Goal requires a pixel, you will see this text under the Conversion Event dropdown in the "Bidding" section
- If you have many pixels, you can click "Change pixel" to choose another one
- You can choose the default pixel in Settings > Pixels

In an existing Campaign
- Click an Ad Set name to edit it. You will see the chosen pixel in the "Bidding" section
- You can also change the pixel used, if you have multiple on your account
For tracking
If your Campaign is set up to track the wrong pixel, you see wrong numbers in reports and all stats tables. A Campaign can be set up to track one or multiple pixels — so that you can run multiple businesses and only track the relevant conversions for each Campaign.
You cannot define on Campaign level which pixels should be included in conversion tracking. Instead, you have to choose the pixels in Ad Account Settings > Pixels. After you have changed this setting, each Campaign will be updated when you make any edits to them, or if you click Edit Campaign > Tracking > "Recalculate all tracking specs in this Campaign" and then save your changes.

Tracking multiple Facebook pixels
Multiple Facebook pixels can be selected for tracking under Settings → Pixels. These settings will be applied to all new Campaigns created from scratch, as well as existing Campaigns when the Campaigns are edited. Note that currently it is not possible to distinguish between the conversions from different Facebook pixels in Smartly.io.

Example: There's a Campaign that is tracking two Facebook pixels, A and B. Pixel A has reported 3 Purchases, whereas pixel B has reported 4 Purchases. The column Conversions: Pixel Event:Purchase will have a value of 7.

In Dynamic Ads, Pixel tracking settings are in the Catalog settings. When creating or editing a catalog, you can choose which pixels should be considered when tracking product interactions:
Which pixel is used in Website Custom Audiences (WCAs)?
Website Custom Audiences are created using the default pixel you have selected in the Ad Account Settings > Pixels.
