Facebook is introducing enhancements to Facebook Pixel. This means adding extra automatic event data to be fired by the Facebook Pixel on your website. You will see some additional automatic (not implemented by you) pixel events firing with Facebook pixel helper.
New automatic events are:
- Microdata → it will provide context from website
- SubscribedButtonClick → automatically added to button click events and event parameters include formFeatures, buttonText, and buttonFeatures
How you can use these automated events
- According to Facebook this will help to improve delivery, measurement and targeting with Facebook ads. Also this is to automate the pixel set up process. Source
- At the moment they are not available for custom audience creation but this most probably will change in the future. (Source: Manual testing in Smartly.io and Facebook tools. Updated: July 7th)
Important about these automated events
Although Facebook is implementing these it does not mean that you should remove the existing events from your website as those events are always more accurate as you know your website and the conversion funnel best.
