Check out the list of Designated Market Areas available in Facebook.
How to use Designated Market Areas in Smartly.io
When defining targeting open Show advanced location options in Audience tab. To include Designated Market Areas add them to Designated Market Area (DMA) codes. To exclude Designated Market Areas add them to Excluded Designated Market Area (DMA) codes.
You can add Designated Market Area by writing the city in the field and then selecting the correct Designated Market Area from the drop-down list or by writing the wanted area in a format DMA:, . Example: To include New York write: DMA:501,New York
Note: If you want to bulk add DMA targeting areas by copy-pasting please note that you can only add them based on the location names (for example: "New York;Washington DC;Portland"). Trying to use the DMA code (e.g. DMA:501) will not work as they are not possible to fetch from Facebook in bulk.
DMA codes can be checked from Facebook.
