When you have created an Image Template or Video Template, you can export the images or video creatives from the template. Before you download or store these creatives in the Asset Library, you can rename them, for example, if you want to use a certain naming convention.
Limitations:
- The following characters are not allowed in filenames on various operating systems:
/ ? < > \ : | " - You cannot use these filenames that are reserved in Windows (case-insensitive, with or without filename extensions): "CON", "PRN", "AUX", "NUL", "COM1", "COM2", "COM3", "COM4", "COM5", "COM6", "COM7", "COM8", "COM9", "LPT1", "LPT2", "LPT3", "LPT4", "LPT5", "LPT6", "LPT7", "LPT8", "LPT9"
To rename creatives:
- On the Preview page, select the creatives and click the pen icon in the toolbar.
- Enter a new name.
- In addition to static text, you can also use dynamic text if you have connected a feed to the template.
- Define dynamic text with Shopify's Liquid markup. Either type the variable, or click the Insert variable icon in the text field and select one on the list.
- For example, to include the channel and language in the asset name, you could use the name Image_{{language}}_{{channel}}. The name would correspond to the values you have in the feed.
- The dialog shows you a preview of how the creatives will be named.
- Click Apply to rename the selected creatives.
