After publishing your Snapchat campaigns, ad sets, and ads, you can edit them or add new ad sets and ads. If you're using automation, see how to make changes to Snapchat automated ads.
You can edit child elements at the same time. If you selected to edit a campaign, you can edit the campaign's ad sets and ads at the same time. Likewise, if you selected ad sets for editing, you can edit their ads at the same time.
Edit campaigns and ad sets
- On the top navigation bar, click Campaigns.
- On the Campaigns page, select the Snapchat platform tab or any Snapchat report.
- Select the campaigns or ad sets you want to edit.
- In the toolbar, click Form Edit and then either Campaigns or Ad sets. The editing dialog opens.
- On the left sidebar, select what you want to edit: a campaign on the Campaigns
tab or an ad set on the Ad sets
tab.
- Make the changes to the settings.
- For campaigns, you cannot edit the campaign objective or change a regular campaign to a dynamic ads campaign.
- For ad sets, you cannot edit the ad format, Ad Skipping settings, Snap App ID, start date, or Goal.
- You can also duplicate campaigns and ad sets.

- Click Add Changes to Review. If there are no errors, the review page opens.
- If there are errors, you see a red badge next to the campaigns and ad sets that you need to fix.
- After reviewing your edits, click Publish.
Edit ads
You cannot edit published ads directly. If you make changes, Smartly.io archives the original ad and creates a new one. The only attributes that can be updated are: name, status, on_swipe_tracking_urls, third_party_tracking_urls (source).
To edit ads:
- On the top navigation bar, click Campaigns.
- On the Campaigns page, select the Snapchat platform tab or any Snapchat report.
- Select the ads you want to edit.
- In the toolbar, click Form Edit > Ads. The editing dialog opens.
- On the left sidebar, select the ad that you want to edit on the Ads
tab.
- Click Enable Creative Edit and make the changes to the settings.
- You can also duplicate ads.

- Click Add Changes to Review. If there are no errors, the Review ads page opens.
- If there are errors, you see a red badge next to the ads that you need to fix.
- After reviewing your edits, click Publish.
Add new ad sets to existing campaigns
- On the top navigation bar, click Campaigns.
- On the Campaigns page, select the Snapchat platform tab or any Snapchat report.
- Select the campaigns where you want to add new ad sets.
- Click Create > Add Ad Sets. The creation dialog opens.
- Define the settings for the ad set and add your ads.
- You can add multiple ad sets at the same time and duplicate ad sets.

- Click Add Changes to Review. If there are no errors, the Review ad sets page opens.
- If there are errors, you see a red badge next to the ad sets and ads that you need to fix.
- After reviewing your edits, click Publish.
Add new ads to existing campaigns
- On the top navigation bar, click Campaigns.
- On the Campaigns page, select the Snapchat platform tab or any Snapchat report.
- Select the campaigns or ad sets where you want to add new ads.
- Click Create > Add Ads. The creation dialog opens.
- Create a new ad or use an existing one from your Snapchat Creative Library, and define the ad settings.
- You can add multiple ads at the same time and duplicate ads. You can also use automation to create multiple ads based on an automation feed.
